Bacon Wrapped Egg Nest
Give your breakfast a WOW!
Ingredients:
- 1 bag Garlic & Herb Beer Bread Flour Mix
- 1 ¼ cup butter milk
- 1 egg beaten – set aside for egg wash
- 2 whole uncooked eggs
- 6 bacon rashers
Method:
- Preheat oven to 170C
- Mix together the butter, two eggs and butter milk a cup at a time and then add the beer bread mix until the dough comes together and then transfer the dough onto a floured surface.
- Separate into 6 equal pieces and roll each piece out into a 30cm rope and wrap each rope with a rasher of bacon.
- Braid the dough and the shape each braid into a circle and place the dough nests onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Place an egg in the centre of each nest and brush the dough with the egg wash and bake at 170 C for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
