French Toast
with a citrus and ginger twist
Ingredients:
- 1 Bag of Ginger Beer Bread
- 2 Eggs
- 1/3 Cup of Milk
- 20ml Citrus Juice of your Choice
- Citrus Slices and Maple Syrup to Serve
Method:
- Prepare ginger beer bread as per packet instructions and cut 4 thick slices.
- Crack eggs into a large flat bottom bowl and whisk until fluffy.
- Add in the rest of the ingredients and then add the bread one slice at a time saturating the bread with the liquid mixture until all the mixture is absorbed.
- Coat a pan with oil and heat on a medium – low heat and cook each side of the French toast for 3 minutes on either side or until golden brown.
- Garnish with citrus fruit of your choice and maple syrup.
