Steak Tacos
Thinly sliced steak cooked to your liking and home made tortillas
Ingredients:
- 500g Plain Greek Yoghurt
- 1 bag Barrett’s Ridge Beer Bread Mix
- Steak Strips (cooked to your liking)
- Fresh Jalapenos – thinly sliced
- Avocado – sliced
- Red Cabbage – thinly sliced
- Lime Wedges and Coriander to serve
Method:
- In a large bowl, add yogurt and Barrett’s Ridge Beer Bread mix
- Combine mixture with a fork and then use your hands until everything is well combined and the dough comes together in a ball
- Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead with your hands for about 1 minute, cut the dough into 12 equal size pieces and shape each piece into a ball
- Heat a skillet or frying pan over a medium heat and let it preheat for a couple of minutes. Working with one ball at a time on a lightly floured surface, roll it out into a 6 – 8 inch round
- Place the tortilla in the hot skillet or frying pan for 1 minute on one side and 30 seconds on the other side. The tortilla is done when it has a few brown spots on each side. Repeat the rolling and cooking process with the remaining balls of dough.
- Fill the tortilla with steak, sliced cabbage, avocado and fresh jalapenos.
- Top with coriander and serve with lime wedges.
